Edulantern.com - The Skoll MBA Scholarship is a competitive scholarship for internasional students who want to pursue MBA study at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. This scholarship provides funding and exclusive opportunities to meet with world-renowned leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors. Eligibility Criteria:
A. Entrepreneurial action
1. Applicants have identified opportunities and taken action to make positive social impact
2. Applicants have spent preferably at least 3 years driving change through entrepreneurial approaches. (For example: started or grown social venture, led the expansion of a social impact initiative within an organization, or been tackling a specific social/environment issue)
B. Creating impact with a focus on systems change
1. Applicants can demonstrate the outcomes and impact of their entrepreneurial action.
2. Impact of applicants addresses unjust systems and practise in their area of work
1. A force for positive change
2. Single-minded and persistent, with a willingness to fail and start again
3. Have bias toward action
4. Have a tendency to explore their environment for opportunities and resources
5. Have a willingness to take personal and (sometimes) financial risks
6. Develop networks and leverage members to pursue mutual goals
7. Have apprenticed with problem or experienced the problem that they are trying to solve (For example: people who are working in the field, working at related organisation, conducting research, etc)
D. The Oxford MBA is critical to applicant's trajectory
1. Applicant can demonstrate why business education is essential in helping to develop their work/impact at this stage.
E. Financial Need
1. Applicants are in a position where the cost of programme is a significant financial burden
2. Applicants can demonstrate the need for the Scholarship (for example, due to personal circumstances or previous work experiences)
How to Apply:
To apply Skoll MBA Scholarship, applicants first need to apply and be accepted onto the Saïd Business School’s MBA programme. Tick the "Skoll Scholarship" box when submitting MBA application.
After receiving confirmation accepted into the MBA programme, check email as the Skoll Centre will send a link to the Scholarship Online Application.
The Skoll Centre will invite selected candidates to join a Skype interview.
